To those of you who know me outside of the Internet and to any of you who don't, thanks for stopping by. This space will serve as a spot for the work I have been fortunate enough to have published. That way, anyone can read and enjoy my oeuvre (I like fancy words that make me appear more pretentious than I actually am -- look it up if you don't know or kick it old school and use context clues). But why title my blog Meeting at Night? Though it seems like a billion years ago, it was actually only two as of next semester (any real student will tell you -- we don't measure time by months, seasons, or years: we measure time by semesters) when I took ENC 1102. One of the first poems we read was Robert Browning's "Meeting at Night." I didn't like poems before that class, mostly because I had never read poems before that class. This was the first one that I really dug. It was the first one that I analyzed in an essay: I received a 91 on that paper and am still
